One month based in India or Dubai, primarily supporting customer mine sites and operational locations, with additional work performed from our regional offices as required.

About the Role
Position Overview
The Technical Support Supervisor is a frontline technical leader responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and coordinating the deployment of HME Solutions’ end-to-end mining technology ecosystem, including:
FMS Live™ (Dispatch+, Production Analytics, Asset Insight™, Ore Tracker, Precision Mining™)
Vital Data Link (VDL) telemetry hardware
GNSS/RTK and precision machine-guidance systems
Communications networks such as 4G/5G, Wi-Fi mesh, solar communication towers, and LTE/Starlink backhaul
This role blends technical problem-solving, operational support, customer engagement, and team leadership. The Supervisor oversees Level 1 and Level 2 support activities, coordinates with software and hardware engineering teams, mentors junior technicians, and ensures high system uptime across customer fleets and infrastructure.
The role plays a critical part in system commissioning, operator and supervisor training, performance optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives across mine sites in Australia, India, and Dubai.

Key Responsibilities
Technical and Operational Support
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for all HME Solutions hardware, software, and communications components.
Diagnose and resolve issues involving telemetry units, GNSS/RTK hardware, sensors, in-cab tablets, network devices, and VDL hubs.
Monitor, assess, and verify system health, connectivity, data integrity, and telemetry flow across fleets and fixed infrastructure.
Support calibration, configuration, and optimisation of machine-guidance and site communications systems.
Deployment and Commissioning
Assist with installation and commissioning of onboard hardware for trucks, dozers, excavators, graders, and other fleet assets.
Support GNSS/RTK base installation and precision machine-control configuration.
Contribute to the deployment of communication towers, solar platforms, Wi-Fi mesh networks, gateways, and Starlink backhaul systems.
Produce commissioning documentation, validation reports, configuration records, and deployment artefacts.
Customer Engagement and Field Support
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customer sites across Australia, India, and Dubai.
Deliver structured training—both on-site and remote—for operators, dispatchers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.
Provide clear, timely communication on support tickets, system updates, and issue resolution processes.
Identify optimisation opportunities and contribute recommendations to improve fleet performance and system adoption.
Team Leadership and Internal Coordination
Mentor and guide junior support personnel, ensuring high-quality troubleshooting and customer outcomes.
Collaborate with HME Solutions’ engineering teams (software, hardware, firmware, networking) to resolve escalated issues.
Maintain accurate support logs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base entries.
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong technical background across mining equipment, industrial electronics, communications, or fleet management technologies.
Minimum 10 years of mining operations experience—particularly in dispatch, fleet operations, or technical support environments.
Knowledge of telemetry systems, GNSS/RTK positioning, industrial networks, sensors, CANBus, and mixed hardware–software troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, network layouts, diagnostic logs, and machine-sensor data.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with operators, supervisors, engineers, and customer management.
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure or time-critical operational environments.
Demonstrated adaptability to remote mine-site environments and multicultural work settings.
Team leadership experience or demonstrated capability to mentor and uplift technical personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
3–5 years of direct technical support experience in mining technology, heavy equipment systems, GNSS/GPS, telematics, or industrial IoT.
Experience with FMS deployments (surface or underground) is highly desirable.
Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.
