About the Role
We are looking for a highly capable and experienced IT Support Lead to join our Hyderabad team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive technical support across hardware, software, and network infrastructure, including remote support for our mining technology platforms deployed on-site. You will be instrumental in maintaining system uptime, resolving technical issues, and supporting both internal teams and field operations globally.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Deliver L1 and L2 IT support to internal staff and remote mining site teams.
Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain IT infrastructure including desktops, laptops, network devices, tablets, and specialised mining hardware.
Provide remote diagnostics and support for GNSS units, in-cab devices, fleet management systems, and connected sensors.
Manage and track IT assets, software licenses, and system documentation.
Collaborate with engineering and software teams to support testing, deployment, and updates of mining solutions.
Monitor and manage user access, backups, and system security in compliance with company policies.
Administer network equipment, including switches, routers, VPNs, and firewalls.
Assist in the deployment and maintenance of cloud platforms and data services used in mining operations.
Conduct training and onboarding sessions for new users, ensuring system readiness across all locations.
Develop, maintain, and enforce IT and cybersecurity policies and procedures aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Lead internal efforts to achieve and maintain relevant IT and cybersecurity certifications required for enterprise or mining-sector clients.
Coordinate and manage annual penetration testing of the FMS-Live software platform in collaboration with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
Ensure incident response and data breach protocols are in place and tested regularly.
Monitor and report on compliance with internal and client-specific security requirements, audit trails, and system access controls.
Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and propose continuous improvements to mitigate risks.
Support the preparation and documentation for IT audits, vendor assessments, and customer security reviews.
Champion IT best practices across the organisation and contribute to continuous improvement in system resilience and user safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 4+ years of proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows environments, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and intermediate to advanced cybersecurity principles.
Experience with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and endpoint management platforms.
Proficient in configuring and managing routers, switches, VPNs, and basic server environments.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
Experience writing, implementing, and enforcing IT policies and procedures aligned to recognised frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance processes and participation in IT or data security audits.
Hands-on experience coordinating or supporting third-party penetration testing and system vulnerability assessments.
Understanding of data security, identity and access management (IAM), backup strategies, and incident response protocols.
Ability to support field-based teams in industrial or remote locations, including across multiple time zones.
Preferred Experience
Background in mining, construction, industrial automation, or other field-based industries with critical infrastructure.
Familiarity with GNSS technology, fleet management systems, or real-time telemetry solutions.
Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and remote monitoring or endpoint management tools.
Experience implementing or supporting cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or SOC 2.
Involvement in coordinating or responding to IT audits, penetration testing, or third-party security assessments.
Demonstrated experience developing and rolling out IT and cybersecurity policies and standard operating procedures.
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are advantageous.
Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to assist in automating IT administration and reporting tasks.
